I watched by grandfather reach 96 years with osteoarthritic hips, and am so grateful that today we have modern surgical techniques, which make such long-suffering no longer necessary. Mr Ganapathi is a highly respected orthopaedic surgeon noted among his colleagues and supporting staff for his attention to detail. He is concise and positive in his explanation and advice and I was so pleased with my right hip replacement that I naturally came back to him when my left hip gave problems. Both times I was out of crutches in less than four weeks. It may sound an overstatement at 77 years to say I am as good as new. But that is certainly how it feels.
