I am very pleased with the outcome of my hip operation .Thanks to Mr Ganapathi I am pain free and I've regained my active life style. I can’t believe how quickly I recovered from the procedure.
My sincere thanks to Mr Ganapathi and his expert team at Spire for my total hip replacement operation carried out on 15th Oct 2019. It is now 7 weeks since the operation and I am back walking painlessly up my beloved mountains. I am also back swimming and cycling. To do all these activities again without pain is so enjoyable. I owe so much to you all. Everyone at the hospital in Wrexham was pleasant, kind and considerate. Nothing was too much for them and the care I received was second to none. Thankyou so much for giving me a painfree life.

Mr Ganapathi deserves recognition after the success I’ve had following my knee operations. Mr Ganapathi and his team were brilliant. I am really indebted to them. I have absolutely no pain and I feel like a new woman – and that’s me at 85! I read about Mr Ganapthi’s knee operations in the paper. We are all afraid of operations and I had doubts but I thought no I’ve got to do this. I’m very happy with the results and I’m very happy I’ve gone down this route.

After over 12 months of pain from an existing hip replacement I went to see Mr Ganapathi on the recommendation of a friend.
At my first appointment and after comparing x-rays he diagnosed a loose prosthetic hip cup.
I subsequently underwent a total hip revision, with minimal invasive surgery.
I was discharged from hospital after 3 days and was walking, pain free, with no aid after 4 weeks.
I have been extremely pleased with the results of my operation.
When Linda Winson fell over her pet dog while walking in the countryside she broke her right leg so seriously that her knee was completely smashed. Despite an emergency operation to address the immediate problem, she was still unable to walk unaided. She feared losing her independence and having to change her whole lifestyle. She went to Mr Ganapathi privately and had a complex knee replacement procedure.
As her knee was so badly damaged a special mould had to be made which the makers could not guarantee would work, but Mr Ganapathi said he would take the responsibility for it. She had surgery, the knee was fitted and she is now back walking her dogs again.
Two years after the fall she said she is extremely grateful to Mr Ganapathi for enabling her recovery. She said: “I feel very lucky that he was the doctor I saw. He is so professional and greatly experienced in his field. I feel I was treated by the best person for the job and the results have been better than all my expectations.”

I watched by grandfather reach 96 years with osteoarthritic hips, and am so grateful that today we have modern surgical techniques, which make such long-suffering no longer necessary. Mr Ganapathi was highly recommended to me by my local GP and I was fortunate to be able to see him in Spire Yale Hospital Wrexham, which manages to combine the very latest equipment with first class patient care at all levels. Mr Ganapathi is a highly respected orthopaedic surgeon noted among his colleagues and supporting staff for his attention to detail. He is concise and positive in his explanation and advice and I was so pleased with my right hip replacement that I naturally came back to him when my left hip gave problems. Both times I was out of crutches in less than four weeks. It may sound an overstatement at 77 years to say I am as good as new. But that is certainly how it feels.

Thank you Mr Ganapathi,
My total knee replacement carried out 10th Oct 2017 seems to be an outright success. As a very active 64 year old I became unable to walk with arthritis in my left knee. Three weeks after surgery I was able to walk five miles without the aid of crutches or even a stick. After five weeks I was able to return to training on my local climbing wall. After ten weeks I had increased my range of movement to 140 degrees with a lot of hard work at Llandudno TKR class and at home.
I have no pain what-so-ever from my left leg when on my feet, walking or rock climbing. I still get a little discomfort at night occasionally. I am so happy to be active again.

The treatment was excellent throughout, from all the staff and the consultant who operated on my hip. I have now regained my physical and mental health being pain free after years of having pain and unable to walk or stand for even short periods. Many many thanks to all that attended to me.

I can’t praise Mr Ganapathi and the entire team at Spire Yale enough Retired policewoman and 'keep fit' enthusiast, Audrey Edwards started getting hip pain two years ago. Scans showed she had a tear in a ligament in her groin. It meant she had to give up her hobbies of running, fell walking, boxercise and going to the gym.
Mr Ganapathi performed a keyhole surgery hip impingement operation on her and Audrey is now delighted to be back running again. She said: “Before the op I was in constant pain 24/7, but now I hardly have any pain at all and my mobility is fully restored. I can’t believe how quickly I recovered from the procedure and am back to doing all the activities I love once more. I can’t praise Mr Ganapathi and the entire team at Spire Yale enough.”

Dear Mr. Ganapathi, It was a pleasure to meet you again. My mum is nearly 83 years of age and was in constant pain and unable to walk unaided when she visited you. Her mobility and quality of life had deteriorated very quickly within a few months; however - in fact only six weeks after the operation - she walked into your office, just holding onto my arm for balance. She is mostly pain free and is looking forward to doing a lot of things she used to do.
We cannot thank you and your team enough and cannot fault the care and professionalism received throughout the whole procedure. We still have one physiotherapy session to go, and we can see the results from our last visit; from the exercises they suggested to strengthen the muscles, she is becoming more and more mobile and she feels she will soon be walking unaided.
We were all very worried about the consequences of having the operation, the anaesthetic and generally the whole procedure. However, it was, thankfully, unwarranted, the procedure and professionalism which we encountered was very reassuring, and for her not to not have the awful constant pain and be able to live an independent life again is absolutely fantastic, we cannot thank you enough.

“I now have a hip made of ceramic and titanium, I’m back rowing and the last time I looked at my Fit Bit it told me that since the operation... I had amazingly walked 736 miles in steps which equates to the length of Italy!”

In the whole of Wales there are probably only a handful of surgeons who are offering hip arthroscopy. And it is something we can offer at Spire Yale Hospital, Wrexham

Over the past 12 months I have had two hip replacement operations carried out by Mr Ganapathi. Both times I have recovered in a few weeks and the results have been amazing.I am now pain free and the scars have almost disappeared completely - I now have my life back and wish to thank Mr Ganapathi so much and also the staff at Wrexham.
On leaving hospital 3 days post op for knee replacement, I only needed minimal paracetamol painkillers. Had the most amazing , speedy recovery , after 4 weeks I was back to normal ,this time pain free. I had heard a lot of praise for Mr Ganapathi, totally justified.
I have recently, at the age of nearly 78, undergone very successful knee replacement surgery performed by Mr M Ganapathi and his team, to all of whom, especially Mr Ganapathi, I am extremely grateful. My recovery has been rapid and relatively pain free.
Prior to surgery I was still fairly mobile, walking the dogs twice daily and at least once a week going up some fairly steep mountain paths, albeit with a little discomfort and difficulty. By three weeks post-op, with the help of weekly physiotherapy sessions, I was walking distances of up to one mile using crutches or walking poles. After four weeks I was walking greater distances with a stick only. By six weeks post-op I felt fully recovered, did not need a stick and took to walking the mountain paths again where I use a stick or a pair of walking poles depending on the severity of the terrain. It is a joy to have such freedom of movement again – it is only now that I realise how much difficulty and discomfort I was having previously.
I had some reservations prior to the operation, but am now so very pleased with the outcome that I have no qualms about having surgery on the other knee should it be necessary.
“I thank you, your team and support staff for carrying out my hip surgery which is highly successful. My care and attention was exceptional and very professional. Thanks again now I can get on with my life and interests.”
We chose Mr Ganapathi because he was the surgeon who specialised in the Patient Specific Instrumentation (PSI) method of knee replacement and we had heard from people we know that it had been very successful for them. Even a person who has had a dual knee replacement was active very soon afterwards. My operation and recovery at Spire Yale, Wrexham was almost pain free. After surgery I mentioned to my husband that the knee replacement didn’t feel any different than my own knee. I would have no hesitation in recommending this procedure.
